:D comes with a little dohickey that you put in the top that looks like a flower, as you shake, it helps blend the stock with flour

My mother-in-law just uses an empty jar and shakes the flour & water together in that. It works great.

Unless I'm making a roux (which I usually do for gravy), I tend to use corn starch instead of flour, and I just mix it together with cold water using a spoon.

quite the contrary. i dont have anything to mix flour and liquid well and this keeps it contained and has a dohickey that mixes the stuff nicely

Oh, I get it! I just use a jar with the lid screwed on tight and I shake hard, lol.
